Dino Policies

Ages:

ABCDino Academy provides quality care for infants (6 weeks to 6 years), toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children. (Washington locations accepts only ages 30 months and up.)

Meals and snacks:

Meals are to be packed and brought with the child each day. We ask that you send your child a well-balanced meal. 

 Snacks will be provided by ABCDino Academy and will consist of simple, child-friendly, finger food. Every effort will be made to provide healthy, fresh, organic snacks. The cost for snacks is $50 per child per month. 

We do not restrict what you may bring for your child to eat. If any of the children present have an allergy they will be seated with children who don’t have that type of food. If your child has food sensitivities or allergies, please provide all meals and snacks for them.

 

Keeping clean:

Each child should have an extra set of clothing with them.

Diapers are to be provided by parents/guardians however we have diapers available for $1 each.

Illness:

As a parent, you accept the inherent risk of communicable disease by entering and of our centers. Our policies are in place to ensure we keep this risk to a minimum.

Children with contagious illnesses should not be brought to ABCDino Academy. This includes but is not limited to:

Fevers above 99.9
Unexplained Rashes
Conjunctivitis/Pink eye
Mucus from mouth or nose that is thick and yellow
Ear Infections
Head Lice
Vomiting or diarrhea
If a child presents any of these symptoms while at ABCDino Academy, parents will be called and asked to pick them up immediately.

Outside Toys:

To assure the safety of all little ones in our care we don’t permit outside toys in our centers. Children who bring toys should plan to keep them in their bags during their visit. Exceptions will be made for toys that comfort a distressed child during their visit or nap time.

Late Pick-up:

Children must be picked up by their scheduled time. If you are aware that you are going to be late, you should call the Center to inform staff and let them know when you expect to arrive to up your child/ren. If you are late, a late fee will be charged, see the parent handbook for rates and specifics. When a child is not picked up by closing time, staff will remain at the center until the situation is resolved.

Pick-up authorization:

Parents and guardians may authorize other people to drop off or pick up a child by setting them in our software. If the person picking up does not have their password; the child’s file will be checked for the individual’s name, and photo identification will be required. If the unknown person is not authorized to pick up the child in our software, the parent will be contacted for permission.

Closing:

ABCDino Academy strives to be as flexible as possible to well serve our community and your family. We are closed on the following holidays to allow our staff to have family time; New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, The day after Thanksgiving & Christmas.
