Our Toddler/Preschool classroom is where little learners take big steps. Children at this age are bursting with curiosity, energy, and emerging independence—so our environment is intentionally designed to match their developmental needs while nurturing their confidence, creativity, and emotional growth.

Here, children learn through a blend of short, engaging learning sessions and plenty of unstructured play. This balance keeps them interested, supports their developing attention spans, and ensures every child has opportunities to explore, experiment, and discover at their own pace.

A thoughtfully structured, screen-free environment

At ABCDino Academy, our curriculum is hands-on, play-based, and grounded in early childhood research. You won’t find screens or passive entertainment here—every material and activity has a purpose.

Teachers guide children through short work cycles, rotating lessons frequently to keep learning fresh, exciting, and developmentally aligned. This intentional planning sets us apart and helps children stay engaged without overwhelm.

Independent exploration and early academic foundations

Throughout the day, children are introduced to early Preschool lessons that support:

Community-building and social development

Toddlers and young preschoolers are learning how to be part of a group, so we nurture skills like empathy, sharing space, and understanding “my turn/your turn” through guided group activities. Children participate in multiple daily circle times, collaborative games, and community routines that help them practice flexibility, communication, and respect.

Older children in the room naturally become helpers and leaders, while younger children learn through observation and gentle coaching from teachers.

Play, movement, and creativity—every single day

Our classroom includes dedicated areas for active play, fine-motor work, art, dramatic play, and sensory exploration. Children have daily opportunities to:

• Climb, run, and strengthen gross motor skills

• Dive into imaginative worlds with dolls, blocks, and pretend play

• Explore art through painting, gluing, drawing, and tactile materials

• Build resilience and independence through free play

• Engage in collaborative activities that require communication and teamwork

These experiences support whole-child development while meeting young children where they are developmentally.

Monthly themes and project work that spark curiosity

Each month, we introduce new themes that help children make sense of the world around them—animals, weather, community helpers, nature, and more. Project time allows children to explore these themes in depth, follow their interests, and express themselves creatively. They practice early presentation skills, storytelling, and confidence-building as they share their work with peers.
